When you purchase a Gratitude Club card (or e-card), a portion of the proceeds goes directly to the local food bank in your county. The Club card comes loaded with discounted offers from local restaurants AND offers from nationwide companies such as AMC, Cinemark, Office Depot & Hertz. Whether you'd like to save money on dining out or movie tickets, we've got you! What does the "card" look like?
Well, it depends! (we have old school and 21st century!)
We provide the Gratitude Club discount card TWO different ways. The old school approach is a convenient physical card with our logo on the front and on the reverse an important unique serial number which is used to register your card within our system. Once registered, you are ALSO able to download a smart phone app where you'll be able to see all of the various offers on your phone. If you prefer old school, that's fine. Just ignore the app and simply show the back side of your card to restaurants to confirm your membership.
...and the 21st century "E-Card" approach!
In this case, we avoid the physical card entirely and instead offer what we're calling a digital or "E-card". This is done by providing a web link (URL) that directs to our member signup page. Embedded in that URL is a unique registration code similar to that found on the back of the physical card. The app is required to confirm your membership when you want to activate a restaurant's offer. The app looks like this sample:

The Gratitude Club has LAUNCHED! By the end of September, the physical Club cards will be available from various area Houston/Galveston area restaurants and we will add a new page to site listing those restaurant names and addresses. At least one food bank has indicated an interest in offering the cards also. If you enjoy good food and are part of a booster club, PTA/PTO, religious organization, or food bank with more activities and obligations than dollars, please get with your budgetary committee and suggest a fund raising campaign with us (see the Fund Raising page on the Club Overview menu).
E-commerce is NOT our strength! We are gradually ironing out a semi-graceful way to digitally sell the e-card (with NO physical cards) and deliver an e-card registration code by email. As organizations begin fund raising, we expect to have multiple optional "products" on the site where an organization can leverage our site to sell the cards and then receive compensation. For a random hypothetical example, a "product" could be "CBHS-SoccerBooster" where the Clear Brook High School Soccer Booster club could direct their booster club supporters to our website to buy the e-card. We would then email that person a unique e-card registration number (similar to that on the back of the physical card) which they would register and then download/install our smartphone Club app. We would then pay the booster club their share of the proceeds. We don't mind handling the money on behalf of the booster club if that is their preference instead of having to sell the e-card themselves. Ideally, in that scenario their entire fund raising campaign could be to simply send a quick email to all of their supporters with a link to our website and brief explanation of the Gratitude Club benefits and charitable mission. We want to make it as painless as possible to do fund raising.
